Noise Shaping Enhanced DMT Signal Transmission Utilizing Low-Resolution DAC

چکیده

In order to reduce the quantization noise of low-resolution DAC, we study a shaping technique that can reshape white an irregular spectrum, in which data subcarrier band is almost transformed into null band. Both simulation and experiment, verify effectiveness investigated scheme 25 GHz 16-QAM/32-QAM/64-QAM DMT transmission systems. The experimental results show enhance receiver sensitivity 4-bit quantized 16-QAM 5-bit 32-QAM by 4.3 dB 2.5 respectively, at BER hard decision forward error correction (HD-FEC) threshold (3.8 × 10 ?3 ). addition, with aid shaping, performance system same as 8-bit HD-FEC threshold. reveal proposed good solution for high-speed, low-cost short reach intra-DCI DAC future 6G networks evolved from 5G mobile networks.

Noise analysis of DMT

We consider Discrete Multitone (DMT, baseband OFDM) modulation and perform a detailed noise analysis which takes into account dependencies and power differences of real and imaginary part after the complex valued discrete Fourier transform (DFT). We show that for colored noise rotated rectangular symbol constellations are more appropriate than the common (quadratic) QAM symbol constellations wi...

Built-In Test and Calibration of DAC/ADC Using A Low-Resolution Dithering DAC∗

This paper presents a BIST scheme to test and calibrate on-chip DAC and ADC and to improve both linearity and resolution of converters using a built-in sigma-delta modulator. We use a dithering dynamic element matching (DEM) techniques. A first-order sigma-delta modulator is used to sample DAC outputs because of high linearity of its outputs with high oversampling rate (OSR). The scheme is capa...

designing a low‑noise, high‑resolution, and portable four channel acquisition system for recording surface electromyographic signal

in current years, the application of biopotential signals has received a lot of attention in literature. one of these signals is an electromyogram (emg) generated by active muscles. surface emg (semg) signal is recorded over the skin, as the representative of the muscle activity. since its amplitude can be as low as 50 µv, it is sensitive to undesirable noise signals such as power‑line interfer...

A Noise-Shaping Algorithm of Multi-bit DAC Nonlinearities in Complex Bandpass ∆ΣAD Modulators

This paper presents a technique for improving the SNR and resolution of complex bandpass ∆ΣADCs which are used for wireless communication systems such as cellular phone, wireless LAN and Bluetooth. Oversampling and noise-shaping are used to achieve high accuracy of a ∆ΣAD modulator. However when a multi-bit internal DAC is used inside a modulator, nonlinearities of the DAC are not noise-shaped ...

An FPGA Implementation of an Oversampling, Second-order Noise Shaping DAC

An oversampling, noise-shaping digital-to-analog converter architecture is designed and implemented in a Xilinx Spartan-II FieldProgrammable Gate Array. The system uses 128-times and 256-times oversampling and has zero-, first-, and second-order noise shapers which may be selected by the end user in real-time. 1-bit DAC output is passed through a 4-pole analog Butterworth filter. Particular emp...
